For any student wishing to gain a fun and interactive experience, while learning basic code. All students will get to program and fly real drones through a variety of challenges! We will also build and program Lego Mindstorm EV3 Robots and use Python code to program, which makes this a great follow up to the Robotics session!
Students will learn about sensors, autonomous flight, and how robots interact with our world.
Students will program real world applications using the industry standard Python and Java programming languages. Programs will be based on student progress and will range from basic movement all the way to navigating a complex obstacle course!
Students will use Drones and EV3 Robots to design and code a variety of fun games and other interactive challenges.
Beginners are welcome, no prior experience needed!
Learn to write code and fly a real drone!
Taught by Mark Galesi, Ridge High School Computer Science and Mathematics teacher and assisted by Mark Dotta, Ridge High School Engineering and Robotics teacher.
