BrainSTEM Summer Camp strives to protect the privacy of the parents and students enrolled. This notice will help you understand our policies and procedures in relation to privacy issues, with special consideration for children under the age of 13.
This privacy policy will identify when and how we collect, use, share and safeguard information using this website. It also describes how to review, correct or discontinue the collection of this information.
What information do we collect and how do we use it?
No personally identifiable information will be collected via this website. Personally identifiable information includes name, address, contact information and other descriptive information such as age and gender. All such personal information provided by a student’s legal guardian is to be submitted as a paper document. BrainSTEM Summer Camp does not share, sell, rent, lease, or release its customer lists or information to third parties.
When you choose to register your son/daughter for camp, you will be submitting personal information about yourself and your child. These forms will not be stored, shared or sent on any electronic device or Internet server.
The intent/nature of theses “paper” registration forms:
Any personally identifying information about you and your son/daughter, such as your names, street address, email address, and phone number, health/medical concerns and any other information you provide will be collected and potentially retained. We will use this information for legal, emergency and communication purposes and may use it provide you with additional information at a later time. We will not disclose such information to third parties. All signed forms are required for all students attending camp. This information is confined to that which will help the staff safely serve the campers. Access is restricted to those who need to know. Forms are maintained in a secure location and maintained in confidence for as long as required by law.
Privacy & the Internet
Image Protection: Our registration form includes a release clause for the use of campers’ photographic images to be posted on our website. BrainSTEM Summer Camp will not identify any child by name in any media without parental consent. Parent or camper has the right to refuse this release and BrainSTEM Summer Camp will not include images of those persons in media. Users may request that a picture be removed from the web by contacting BrainSTEM Summer Camp through email. Parents hold this right for their children.
How do we handle contacts with children under the age of 13? Prior to submitting personal information, children should have parental permission. Registering a camper requires mailing signed registration forms, which will be considered verifiable parental consent for the submission of the registration information. Parents have the right to review any information submitted to BrainSTEM Summer Camp and may ask for its removal by placing their request in writing to the BrainSTEM Summer Camp director at [email protected].
Parental Rights
BrainSTEM Summer Camp won’t require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity. Parents can review their child’s personal information, direct BrainSTEM Summer Camp to delete it, and refuse to allow any further collection or use of the child’s information.
Third Party Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.

We may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies and therefore we have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
